The printer does not turn on or stay on

When the Power light does not come on and mechanism initialization does not start even when
the Power P button is pressed to turn on the printer, try the following solutions for the problem.
Description
The printer could not feed the paper.
The ink cover is open.
The maintenance cartridge cover is
open.
The maintenance cartridge is not set
in the printer.
The paper may be jammed.
Print head is locked.
Some errors have occurred.
Print head is locked.
A fatal error has occurred.

What to do
Remove the paper, and then load the paper
correctly.
Close the ink cover.
Close the maintenance cartridge cover.
Install the maintenance cartridge.
Remove the jammed paper. See "Clearing
paper jams" on page 191 for details.
Remove the protective materials from the
print head to release the print head.
Turn the printer off, and then turn it on again.
Remove the protective materials from the
print head to release the print head.
Turn the printer off, leave it for a while, and
turn the printer on again. If this message
appears on the LCD panel again, note the
code and contact your dealer. See
"Contacting Customer Support" on page 201.
