The DIGITIZE Electronic Transmitter, Six Zone (DET-6B) is a solid-state microprocessor coder for use over telegraph hard wire. The DET-6B is designed to operate with a loop current from 50 mA to 750 mA. A dual 6-zone version (DET-12B) is available in a larger enclosure.
Codes for either a short or open line condition at the input zones. The DET-12B uses 2 of the 6 zone boards. When a zone input goes into Alarm, the DET-6B/12B will send the code number for the unit followed by the code that was selected for the zone that went into Alarm.
EPROM. The standard value on the Master EPROM is 1/4 second, with a value of 06, which represents approximately 6/24. See page 2-3, location 7B3 for calculation. EPROM 27C512 A blank 27C512 EPROM is supplied with each DET-6B. The 27C512 EPROM is programmed using Digitize DET-PROG programmer. The DET-12B is supplied with 2 EPROMS.

SECTION 2 PROGRAMMING THE DET-6B/12 EPROM The DET-6B is supplied with one 27C512 EPROM for the storing of the data, which is to be transmitted when any input is activated. A DET-12B is supplied with two EPROMS. In order to program the DET-6B/12B EPROM for operation, the information can either be sent to DIGITIZE, INC with the purchase order for the DET-6B/12B or programmed using the DET-PROG EPROM programmer for the PC.

DET-6B/12B INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL The following code number locations contain five digits followed by 00. If a box contains less than five digits, fill the balance of the box number with 00’s. The sixth digit is always 00. For example, Box 123 is represented by 1, 2, 3, 00, 00, 00.
DIGITIZE’s only responsibility will be to reprogram another chip if there is an error on our part. This information can be loaded by someone other than DIGITIZE, INC by using the DET-6 EPROM Programmer for the PC.

For zone 5 ________________________ (ROUNDS) LOC 7AE For zone 6 ________________________ (ROUNDS) LOC 7AF The DET-6B/12B is capable of transmitting a code when it detects that its battery voltage is below a preset level. The following locations have to do with transmission (or non- transmission) of a code when a low battery condition is detected.
DET-6B/12B and at the AC Terminal Input. Open the front of the DET-6B/12B and remove the two wires for the AC power input from the AC transformer. Remove the 4 screws that hold the sheet metal.

When the time has elapsed the microprocessor will activate relay K2 to send out the code for the alarm input. If the DET-6B/12B senses a code on the 100mA line, it will wait for the line to clear before trying to send its code.
If the voltages are correct and the DET-6B/12B is not working, the box guts should be replaced with a spare and the service left to qualified service personnel.
The battery should be checked at least once every six months to be sure that it has the ability to run the DET-6B/12B. To test the battery, remove the AC power from the unit and measure the 12 VDC going to the DET-6B/12B PCB. Should the voltage fall below 12 volts within the first 30 minutes, the battery should be replaced.
SECTION 6 DET-6B DUAL LINE The DET-6B dual line (P/N 425106-0000) is available. The DET-6B dual line (also called a DET-6D) has separate 100mA lines for Alarm and Trouble. For DET-6D operation, Zone 6 is shorted in order to activate the second milliamp circuit (Trouble).
