In our Environmental Action Plan for Fiscal 2005, we established the goal of completely eliminating seven harmful substances — hexavalent chrome, lead, cadmium, mercury, PBB, PBDE and polyvinyl chloride — from all Nikon consumer products by September 2005. Nikon is also in full compliance with the EU's July 2006 RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive, as well as other, newer EU regulations.
