Please read the instruction carefully before operating the unit.

The remote control operates on 1pc "CR2025" lithium battery (included). To power up the remote control, remove the insulation tab from the back of unit.

REPLACING BATTERY FOR THE REMOTE CONTROL

  1. Put a coin into the groove of battery cover.
  2. Twist the coin anti-clockwise to open the battery door until the marking dot "CLOSE" move to the "OPEN".
  3. Take out the battery door.
  4. Insert one "CR2025" size battery with the positive side (+) facing up.
  5. Replace the cover. Twist the coin clockwise to close the battery door until the marking dot "OPEN" move to the "CLOSE".


Do not ingest the battery, Chemical Burn Hazard
(The remote control supplied with) This product contains a coin/ button cell battery. If the coin/ button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
Keep new and used batteries away from children.
If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

NOTES:

  • Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
  • If the remote control is not going to be used for a long time, remove the battery to avoid damage caused by battery leakage corrosion.
  • Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
  • Do not throw batteries in fire!
  • Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.


Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

POWER SUPPLY

Using power cord

  1. Connect the detachable AC cord (included) to the AC socket on the rear of the unit.
  2. Plug the power cord into 100-240V

Using the Built- in battery
The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery (lithium-ion). Charge the built-in battery before using it for the first time. The charging indicator will light red and will be off after fully charge.

  • Recharge the built-in battery when you are ready to use it again.
  • While using the built-in battery, the environmental temperature should be 5°C (41°F) to 35°C (95°F).
  • To get the longest service life of the built-in battery, charge at indoor-temperature.
  • The built-in battery in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above 100°C (212°F), or incinerate.
  • The unit should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • When discarding the unit, environmental problems must be considered and local rules or laws governing the disposal of such products must be strictly followed.
  • When the built-in battery power is low, "" will show on display. Recharge the battery is needed.

Note: In a concern of saving energy, when playback has reached to the end or listening volume is set at a very low level and no control is operated on the device for a period of 30 minutes, the unit will automatically switch to Standby mode.

AUDIO CONTROLS

Press AUDIO button on remote control to select Bass / Treble / Loudness function, the corresponding icon will appear on display, then press VOLUME +/- on unit or on remote control to set bass / treble level, or turn loudness function ON/ OFF. Release the button to confirm the setting.

TURNING UNIT ON/OFF

  1. Press and hold button to turn on the unit.
  2. Press button to turn off the unit.

SELECTING FUNCTION

The function (BLUETOOTH/ CD/ USB/ AUX1/ AUX2) is selected by pressing SOURCE button repeatedly.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

  1. When the unit is ON, press SOURCE button repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "" for a few seconds. After 10 seconds, the will blink, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "M-1920DJ" from the Device List.(Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) If the Bluetooth device prompts for a pass code, use "0000". Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection. If the unit is paired properly, the will show on display with an indication voice. If it failed, the Bluetooth indicator will blink slowly.

Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection.
If the pairing fails, perform the following:
Press and hold the button until the Bluetooth indicator " " blinks quickly to enter the Pairing mode. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select "M-1920DJ" from the Device List (see step 2 above).

  • On some devices such as computers, once paired you must select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose "Use as Audio Device (stereo)" or similar.
  • Pairing remains intact when the unit and/or your Bluetooth device is taken out of communication range. An active connection will be re-established when your Bluetooth device returns within range.
  • When the unit is turned on again, it will automatically try to reconnect with the most recently paired Bluetooth device.

Using a Bluetooth Device

  1. With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the M-1920DJ's speakers.
  2. Press the button to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
  3. Select desired track with .
  4. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME+/- on unit or on remote control.
    You can also adjust the volume on the device to which you are paired.

Using a NFC Device
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology that enables short-range wireless communication between NFC-enabled devices, such as mobile phones.

  1. When the unit is ON, press SOURCE button repeatedly to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "" for a few seconds. After 10 seconds, the will blink with an indication voice, then it will start to rapidly to be in pairing mode.
  2. Enable NFC and Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device (see the user manual of your device for details), tap the NFC device on the NFC tag of this unit until you hear a beep sound from this unit. The NFC device is connected to this unit via Bluetooth.
  3. Select and play audio files or music on your NFC device.
  4. To break the connection, tap the NFC device with the NFC tag on this unit again.

Note: The operational range between the main unit and a NFC device is approximately 10 meters.

LISTENING TO DISC

  1. When the unit is ON, press SOURCE button repeatedly to select CD mode. The display will show "" for a few seconds. Press to open the disc tray. Insert a disc with label side facing up. Press again to close the disc tray.
    (Note: If there is no disc inserted, the display will show "").
  2. After a few seconds, the total number of track will appear on display for a few seconds and playback starts automatically.

USB PLAYBACK

  1. Connect an USB device to the USB MP3 port on unit.
  2. Press SOURCE button repeatedly to select USB mode. The display will show "" for a few seconds and playback will start automatically.
  3. Select desired track with .

Notes:

  • The total number of MP3 files on the USB device should not exceed 999.
  • The device may not contain more than 99 directories.
  • The reading time takes about a few seconds or more depending on the amount of MP3 files and folders on USB device.
  • Do not put anything other than a USB device to the port of this unit. Other objects may damage the USB mechanism.
  • The USB socket must not be connected to the computer directly, for that may damage the unit.
  • There are many USB devices in the market. We cannot guarantee to support all different models. Please try another USB device if your device is not supported.

PLAY MODES (CD/MP3)

Repeat playback
Press REP. button on remote control repeatedly to select a play mode, Repeat indicator will light up.

  • Repeat One: display shows "".
  • Repeat folder: display shows "". (MP3 only)
  • Repeat All: display shows "".

To cancel repeat playback, press REP. button repeatedly until display shows " " and repeat indicator disappears.

Random playback
Press RAND. button on remote control. Random indicator lights up. It will play all tracks in random order. Press RAND. button again to cancel this function. Random indicator lights off.

Program playback

  1. In stop mode, press PROG. button on remote control. The display will show "" for a few seconds and change to "". Program indicator lights up.
  2. Select the desired track with , then press PROG. button to conform.
  3. Repeat above steps to program up to 32 tracks for CD and 99 tracks for MP3.
  4. Press to start program playback.
  5. Press button once to stop the program playback. Press again to cancel this function.

CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE

To AUDIO IN RCA jacks

  1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. DVD player) to the AUDIO IN L/R jacks on back of unit with RCA audio cable (cable not included).
  2. Press SOURCE button repeatedly to select AUX 1 mode. The display will show "".
  3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.
  4. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  5. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUDIO IN L/R jacks.

To 3.5mm AUX IN jack

  1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. mp3 player) to the AUX IN jack on the top of unit (cable included).
  2. Press SOURCE button repeatedly to select AUX 2 mode. The display will show "".
  3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.
  4. Adjust the volume to desired level.
  5. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the AUX IN jack.

USB CHARGING

This unit is equipped with a built-in USB charging port (Output: 5V 1A) for recharging your mobile device (e.g. Smartphone, tablet, etc.)
Simply plug the USB charging cable (not included) into the USB charging port and connect it to your mobile device.

GUITAR PLAYBACK

  1. Plug your electronic guitar into the GUITAR jack on the unit.
  2. Press and hold button to turn on the unit.
  3. Start to play your guitar and the sound will be output from the unit.
  4. Adjust the master volume to desired level.
  5. To stop playback, disconnect your guitar from the GUITAR jack.

SINGING THROUGH MIC JACK

  1. Sing along with the music by plugging in the provided microphone into either one of the MIC jacks on the unit.
    Notes:
    * Rotate the directly to adjust the mic volume as desired.
    * If the microphone is placed near the loudspeaker, a howling effect (acoustic feedback) may occur. If this happens, place microphone away from the loudspeaker.

    Tapping or dropping the microphone can permanently damage your microphone. Resist the urge to swing the microphone around by the cord.
  2. ECHO: adjust the echo with control to enhance the singer's voice for a concert hall effect.

USING THE STROBE /COLOR LIGHT

  1. In standby mode, press and hold button to turn on the color light, and multiple color change to achieve a color cycle effect. Press the button again to settle down the light, repeatedly operate to select desired color. Press and hold the to turn off the light.
    Note: The strobe light cannot work in standby mode.
  2. When the unit is on, repeatedly press button to select the lighting mode:
  • Both color light and strobe light will be on, and change along with music.
  • Only color light will be on and change along with music.
  • Only strobe light will be on and change along with music.
  • Light off.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service:

No Power

  • Make sure unit is connected to AC power.
  • Make sure the battery is recharged.

No Sound – General

  • External device's volume is set to minimum; raise volume.
  • The M-1920DJ's volume is set to minimum; raise volume.

The Bluetooth device cannot pair or connect with the unit.

  • You have not activated the Bluetooth function of your device. Refer to the user manual of your device to activate Bluetooth function.
  • The unit is not in pairing mode. Press and hold the button until the Bluetooth indicator blinks fast.
  • The unit is already connected with another Bluetooth device; disconnect that device and then try again.

  • Make sure to have a minimum distance of 5 cm around the unit for sufficient ventilation.
  • Ensure that the ventilation openings is not covered with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
  • Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on the apparatus.
  • Do not expose this appliance to dripping or splashing water.
  • Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as glass, vase on the device.
  • Do not throw batteries into fire! Respect the environment when disposing of used batteries.
  • Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or other similar heat source.
  • The power plug is used as a disconnect device and must be easily accessible. To be completely disconnected from the power, the plug of the appliance should be disconnected completely. The socket must not be obstructed and should be easily accessible during intended use.
  • Under the influence of fast transient and / or electrostatic electric phenomenon, the product may malfunction and the user must perform a power reset of the device.
