Troubleshooting

Symptom
No flow or poor flow rate.
Water dripping for a few
seconds after the tap has
been turned off.
Constant dripping / leaking
when the tap is not in use.
Fitting does not turn on.
Cause
Partially closed isolation valve.
Instantaneous water heater cycles on
and off as flow rate or pressure is too
low.
Head of water is below the
minimum distance required.
Hot or cold water being drawn off
elsewhere causing pressure changes or
instantaneous boiler temperature
changes.
Airlock or partial blockage in the supply
pipework.
This is normal for a short time after
using the taps.
If water continues to drip, possibly due
to the ceramic disc valves.
Cartridge / Valve not fully shutting off.
Closed isolation valve.
Closed stop or service valve.
Remedy
Open isolation valve.
Increase water flow rate or pressure
through system.
Refer to specification for minimum
distance required.
Do not use other water outlets when
using the taps.
Flush through pipework to ensure
removal of debris and any airlocks.
Airlock or partial blockage in the supply
pipework.
This is caused by residual water
tension, the build up of water in the tap
body
Remove valves and clean, refer to
'Maintenance'
section before starting any
maintenance.
Service fitting and replace cartridge /
valve. Refer to maintenance section on
page 06.
Open isolation valve.
Open stop or service valve.
