ELSA MicroLink Office is intended for the connection to analog, public telecommunica- tions networks. The telephone line is passed through the modem and permits the con- nection of a conventional telephone.

    Introduction Introduction The ELSA MicroLink Office is an external desktop model housed in a rugged, flat alumi- num case. The hardware installation is fast and user-friendly thanks to Plug&Play sup- port (see Installation Guide). The following is an outline of the essential technical features of the modem to provide a quick overview of its performance.

    ELSA MicroLink Office in stand-alone mode After you have taken your ELSA MicroLink Office into service with the help of the Instal- lation Guide, your modem is ready for use as an answering machine with fax functions even with the PC switched off. Fax and voice messages are stored in the modem’s flash memory.

    Voice messages If your ELSA MicroLink Office receives a call, the modem will take over the line after a number of ring pulses that can be set. This requires, of course, that automatic call accep- tance is activated.

Telephone handset and speed dial buttons The telephone handset and speed dial buttons can be used to manage up to 40 speed dial numbers.
