36. Setups

TotalMix FX can transfer all current settings to the device (Options/Store Current State into De-
vice). There are six memory slots (Setups) available. An example:
 Inputs with no processing, gain set to +30 dB and phantom power active. Outputs without
processing, faders for 1/2 set to 0 dB, 9/10 at – 20 dB, clock mode master, saved in Setup 1.
 Inputs with EQ, gain set to +30 dB, no phantom power, outputs 1/2 with EQ (factory preset
Modern Bass Treble), outputs 7/8 with EQ (factory preset Cheap Phones Compensation),
faders for 1/2 at 0 dB, 7/8 at -20dB, clock mode AutoSync, saved in Setup 2.
Via the menu SETUP, Load/Store All Settings, one can switch between setups 1 and 2 at any
time, alternating between entirely different configurations. Further examples would be activating
the SRC, or temporary monitoring of the input signal.
On the iPad the optional app TotalMix FX for iPad gives full control of all functions and parameters
in real-time and with full overview, similar to working under Windows and Mac.
Setup Select lists besides the 6 memory locations the options Factory, AD/DA and Clear Mix.
Factory: Reset all settings to factory defaults
AD/DA: Default setting for using the device in stand-alone mode as an AD/DA converter. Routing:
AES In → XLR Analog Out
XLR Analog In → AES Out, SPDIF Coaxial, ADAT 1/2
SPDIF coaxial, ADAT 1/2 → Monitoring via Phones Out
This preset can be quickly adjusted via the Mix to menu (press key Channel twice) and saved as
a custom setup via SETUP, Load/Store all Settings.
Clear Mix: Deletes all routings.
