The "Energy monitor 3000" provides a simple way to measure the energy consumption and monitor the current, voltage and frequency of electrical appliances. The measure range is from 1.5 to 3000 Watts. If these limits are exceeded, the device will no longer be accurate. The device is only authorised to connected to mains outlet (230 V/50 Hz) and with current less than 13 A. Even though the device is very accurate, it is not officially certified for the account of cost of electricity between power supplier and consumer. The device is only authorised to use in dry indoor, outdoor use is forbidden.
This product fulfills European and national requirements related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). CE conformity has been verified and the relevant statements and documents have been deposited at the manufacturer.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for further reference.
We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe these operating instructions. the warranty/guarantee will then expire!
The icon with exclamation mark indicates important information in the operating instructions. carefully read the whole operating instructions before operating the device, otherwise there is risk of danger.
Immediately after the "Energy Monitor 3000" is plugged into a mains outlet, the supply voltage, frequency of the supply voltage and present current consumption of the connected loads are displayed in the LCD.
Set the tariff before insert it into mains socket, please refer to "Display of total energy cost, total energy used and energy tariff" for further details.
Active power, W, is the power that the power supplier delivers to the connected appliance.
Apparent power, VA, is the product of voltage and current. It is the power actually used by the connected appliance.
Power factor, cosφ, is the ratio between active power and apparent power or cosine of the phase angle between the current and voltage sinusoid waveforms, φ(phi).
The maximum power factor is unity. For the same amount of active power transferred, a circuit with lower power factor will have higher losses and thus lower overall transmission efficiency.
![]() | REC h | = recorded time (hour), |
ON h | = operated time of connected power loads (hour), | |
% | = ON h/REC h. |
The cost forecast calculates the projected energy cost from the momentary power recording of the connected power loads using the programmed tariff.
Observe correct polarity while inserting the batteries. remove the batteries if the appliance is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage through leaking. leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle them.
Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying around, as there is risk, which children or domestic pets could swallow it.
Make sure that batteries are not dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never recharge/ charge non-rechargeable batteries. there is a risk of explosion!
With built-in battery, you can set saved data, recordings and tariff setting even if the Energy Monitor 3000 is not connected to mains outlet. To save battery power, the LC Display switches off automatically 60 seconds after the unit is disconnected from mains outlet.
When the battery is running low, will appear.
When cleaning or servicing, the device must be disconnected from every source of operation voltage. Clean the device and LC Display with dry, soft and anti-static cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents!
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as municipal waste.
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Disposing used batteries in the household waste is prohibited! Batteries/ rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin. The symbol indicates that the product is forbidden to be disposed via the domestic refuse. The chemical symbols for the respective hazardous substances are cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, pb = Lead.
You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point of your local authority, our stores or where batteries/ rechargeable batteries are sold.
Consequently you comply with your legal obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
