REMINDER – Cables and accessories are NOT covered under this Offer. If a customer purchases a u-lock/cable combination pack the u-lock is the only product covered under this Offer. Place the bike against an anchored stationary object. Place the Kryptonite folding lock around the stationary object, capturing the stationary object, the bike frame, and rear wheel. Check the lock before leaving the bike to be sure it is properly secured.
Tips:
For as long as the customer owns the Kryptonite lock, if the combination is lost and it has been registered with Kryptonite, call Kryptonite to obtain the combination. If the combination changes after registration, please be sure to update the registration with Kryptonite.
To register the combination, complete the form on Kryptonite's website: Kryptonitelock.com > Customer Service > Register keys/combination.
Lubricate the lock several times a year to keep the lock in its best working condition. Always use a lubricant that has only a silicone, or Teflon base. Face the combination dials upright and spray or drip the lubricant in between the dials and inside the locking deadbolt. Rotate the lock dials and let it sit for 5 minutes. Place a rag on the workstation and turn the lock over onto the rag for a few minutes.
Note: Do not use Standard WD-40! Standard WD-40 is a solvent for cleaning corrosion, not a lubricant and will remove lubricant in the dials. WD-40 Lubricant is ok to use.
