- Page 3 LR44 SHOWN ACTUAL SIZE Battery Compartment • Locate the battery compartment under the tree base. • Loosen the screw in the tree trunk with a Phillips screw- driver and remove the tree trunk. • Carefully remove the exhausted batteries from the battery compartment.
