The Gantry tension (back and forth) should move with 8-12 lbs. of pressure; a Fish Scale is useful in determining this. If Gantry Tension is too loose, Gantry will move back and forth (over 3/16”) with Motors Engaged. Please call Wizard before making adjustments to help prevent possibility breaking the Gantry Cable.

  • Page 24: Chapter 6: Hardware Maintenance

Chapter 6: Hardware Maintenance The Wizard is a high tech precision piece of equipment that requires periodic tuning for accurate mat cutting. • Page 26: Use A Surge Protector

Use a Surge Protector Plug all Wizard peripherals into a Surge Protector (Driver Pak, Monitor, CPU, etc). A Surge Protector will help protect electrical peripherals, but it is not a guarantee against all damages in a power surge, storm, brownout or other mishap. For an impending electrical storm, unplug phone line from CPU, leave the Wizard peripherals plugged into Surge Protector and unplug Surge Protector from wall before leaving for the evening.
