SELECTING A TEMPERATURE LOCATION Oral (recommended) 1. Cover the probe tip with a probe cover (not included) and place the probe tip of the thermometer well under the tongue. For an accurate measurement, it is important to keep your mouth closed and stay still. Be careful not to bite down on the thermometer.

3. Gently insert the probe tip of the thermometer NO MORE THAN 1/2 inch into the rectum. If you detect resistance, stop. Hold the thermometer in place during measurement. 4. Dispose of the used probe cover and wash the thermometer as recommended (See Cleaning Instructions).
