warning Note: Do not charge your mobile device while the Sound Blaster PLAY! 4 is connected.

* The USB-C to USB-A converter is designed to be used with the bundled Sound Blaster product for USB data transfer only, and does not support USB-PD charging or other non-USB data transfer functions on client (mobile devices / portable devices) or host systems (computers / consoles). Do not use the converter with other products for other unintended purpose.

CONTROLS / LED BEHAVIORS

Button Actions LED Indicators

Default: Mic Unmuted

Solid Red – Mic Muted

Off – Mic Unmuted


Default: EQ Off

Off – EQ Off

Solid Blue – Bass Boost

Solid White – Dynamic

PLAYBACK VOLUME FUNCTION: The Mic Mute / Unmute button offers the ability to switch between two functions: Mic Mute / EQ and Volume Control. Press and hold the Mic Mute / Unmute button to cycle between the two features. Press the buttons shown below to make volume adjustments.

Glowing Red – Volume Control On

Solid Red – Mic Muted

Off – Mic Unmuted

Glowing Red – Volume Control On
Off – Volume Control On

Note: Mic Mute / Unmute button's LED will blink rapidly to indicate function switch. Bass Boost / Dynamic EQ's LED will remain off when Volume Control function is enabled.

MODE SELECTION

Optimize Sound Blaster PLAY! 4's audio quality when connected to different platforms.

Button Actions LED Indicators

Default: Mode 2

Blinking Blue (x5) – Mode 1

Blinking White (x5) – Mode 2

Mode 1: PC / Mac / PS5 / PS4 / Nintendo Switch – Select this mode for Sound Blaster PLAY! 4 to be automatically detected by all platforms when connected.

Mode 2: PC / Mac only – Select this mode when using the Sound Blaster PLAY! 4 exclusively on PC / Mac. In this mode, Sound Blaster PLAY! 4 will provide improved audio quality for PC / Mac, but it will not be detected by gaming consoles (e.g. PS5 / PS4 / Nintendo Switch) when connected.

SUPPORTED HEADSET'S BUTTONS BEHAVIOR

When connected to Sound Blaster PLAY! 4, users may still use their headphones / headset's built-in buttons to control audio playback and calls.
