    The engine switch is located on the engine. Turn it on when starting the engine and use it to turn off the engine. Meets ANSI Safety Standards Craftsman Tillers conform to the safety standard of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

  • Page 11 OPERATION Adding Fuel USING YOUR TILLER WARNING Your tiller is designed for seed bed preparation, cultivating, furrowing, and mulching. An adult should fuel this engine. Discard the spark plug if there is apparent wear, or if the insulator is cracked or chipped. Clean the spark plug with a wire brush if it is to be reused.

  • Page 16 SERVICE & MAINTENANCE CAUTION Do not spray engine with water to clean because water could contaminate fuel. Using a garden hose or pressure washing equip- ment can also force water into the air cleaner or muffler opening. Water in the air cleaner will soak the paper element, and water that passes through the element or muffler can enter the cylinder, causing damage.
