Removing the Existing Air
Cleaner

Procedure
1. Stop the machine on a level surface, stop the engine,
remove the ignition key, and lower the boom.
2. Allow the engine to cool completely before
continuing.
If the engine has been running, the muffler
and muffler guard will be hot and could burn
you. This procedure requires you to touch the
muffler guard.
Allow the engine and muffler to cool completely
before installing this kit.
3. Close the fuel shutoff valve.

Install the air cleaner.

Connect the air cleaner to the engine.

4. Clean all dirt and debris from the machine.
5. Remove the air cleaner cover (Figure 1).

6. Remove and discard the breather tube from the
engine and carburetor (Figure 2).

    Maintenance Replacing the Air Filter Service Interval: Every 250 hours (more frequently if operating conditions are extremely dusty or sandy). Note: Service the air cleaner more frequently if operating conditions are extremely dusty or sandy. Important: To prevent engine damage, always operate the engine with the air filter and cover installed.

    Maintenance Cambio del filtro de aire Service Interval: Every 250 hours (Con más frecuencia si la zona de trabajo tiene mucho polvo o arena). Note: Revise el limpiador de aire con mayor frecuencia en condiciones de trabajo de mucho polvo o arena. Important: Para evitar dañar el motor, no haga funcionar nunca el motor sin que estén instalados el filtro de aire y la tapa.
