You can select either alphanumeric or numeric service. If you select numeric, callers can only send messages using a touch-tone phone.

For the best performance and longest life, we recommend an alka- line battery, such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-555. Caution: Always use a fresh battery of the required size and recommended type.
