  • Page 5 If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs, it should be positioned at the front of the lowest tread possible. The safety barrier should not be used at the top of stairs or steps. WARNING Don’t install a second gate above the first as there is a risk of serious injury or death.

F(1X) I(1x) Insert steel bolt (G) into the required extension piece(s) in the orientation as shown above. For the 12cm & 24cm extension piece(s) insert the shorter of the two ends of steel bolt (G) into the safety gate.

Further backward or forwards adjustment of the top wall cup on the lock side may be required if this happens. Check that the lock operates, and the gate opens and closes correctly.
  • Page 9 The position of the top wall cup on the lock side may need to be adjusted backwards or forwards so that the gate and frame are perfectly aligned as per the above image. Adjust the vertical alignment by following the images above. Check that the gap between the handle and the lock is less than 1mm and the gate operates smoothly.
