Always pull the mains plug out of the socket before car-

rying out any cleaning or maintenance work and during
periods when the appliance is not being used. Simply
switching off is not sufficient, since the appliance is sub-
ject to mains voltage for as long as the plug is connected
to the mains power socket.
Protect the appliance from moisture, water spray and

dripping water, and also penetration by liquids.

Never immerse the appliance, the mains power cable or

the mains plug in water, and do not use the appliance
outdoors. Risk of electric shock!
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight or high

temperatures. Otherwise, it may become overheated
and irreparably damaged.
Do not insert any objects into the appliance.

Water must only be poured into the water tank, and

never into other parts of the appliance.
Do not put any cleaning agents, chemicals or metals

into the water tank.
Avoid moving the appliance too much is there is a lot of

water in the water tank. Water could get into other parts
of the appliance and cause damage.
If you notice any unusual noises, a burning smell or

smoke coming from the appliance, turn the appliance
off immediately and disconnect the power plug from the
mains socket. Have the appliance checked by a quali-
fied specialist before using it again.
