    Playback operations Playback operations This chapter explains the basic operation for using the unit as an audio CD player. Before operation Prepare the unit for playback. POWER To turn on the unit • Press POWER. The POWER indicator lights. Make sure that the SCSI indicator goes off.

    To insert a disc Open the loading tray by pressing 0 OPEN/CLOSE. Place the disc into the loading tray. Make sure the disc edge does not overlap the edge of the recessed area. Close the loading tray by pressing 0 OPEN/CLOSE. You can check the track information by viewing the TRACK indicator.

The TRACK indicators of the tracks that are contained on the audio CD are lit.

    Additional information Care and handling of discs How to handle discs When handling a disc, do not touch the surface of the disc. Since discs are made of plastic, they are easily damaged. If a disc gets dirty, dusty, scratched or warped, the images and sound will not be picked up correctly, and such a disc may cause the player to malfunction.
