Connecting issues
To resolve connecting issues with the JBL Balboa SUB/230:
1. Do not use the LFE input on the subwoofer with Dolby Pro Logic processors.
2. Use this subwoofer with Dolby Digital, DTS, or other digital surround processors.
3. Connect each speaker to the correct speaker terminals on your receiver or amplifier.
4. Configure the receiver for “Subwoofer On.”
5. Set the receiver for 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 channel operation, as appropriate.
6. If your receiver has a built-in low-pass filter, select 120Hz or the closest lower frequency.
