INSTALLATION/CONNECTION
Warning
The unit can only be used w ith a 12 V DC pow er supply, negative ground.
•
Disconnect the battery's negative term inal before w iring and m ounting.
•

Do not connect Battery w ire (yellow ) and Ignition w ire (red) to the car chassis or Ground w ire
•
(black) to prevent a short circuit.
To prevent short circuit:
•
– Insulate unconnected w ires w ith vinyl tape.
– Be sure to ground this unit to the car's chassis again after installation.
– Secure the w ires w ith cable clam ps and w rap vinyl tape around the w ires that com e into
contact w ith m etal parts to protect the w ires.
Caution
For safety's sake, leave w iring and m ounting to professionals. Consult the car audio dealer.

Install this unit in the console of your vehicle. Do not touch the m etal parts of this unit during
•
and shortly after use of the unit. Metal parts such as the heat sink and enclosure becom e hot.
Do not connect the

them in parallel.
• Mount the unit at an angle of less than 30º.
If your vehicle w iring harness does not have the ignition term inal, connect Ignition w ire (red)

to the term inal on the vehicle's fuse box w hich provides 12 V DC pow er supply and is turned
on and off by the ignition key.
Keep all cables aw ay from heat dissipate m etal parts.

After the unit is installed, check w hether the brake lam ps, blinkers, w ipers, etc. on the car are

w orking properly.
If the fuse blow s, first m ake sure the w ires are not touching car's chassis, then replace the old

fuse w ith one that has the sam e rating.
