System description and function
In general, detailed information on the products, such as properties, specification, sensor distances etc.
is written in the corresponding data sheet (→ 2.8) or from the guidelines for planning and installation
(→ Document 60V219).

General information
d-LIST is a temperature measuring system or a resettable linear heat detector according to EN 54-22, based on a
sensor cable. Due to its closed cable construction and the high measuring resolution, the system can be used even
under the harshest environmental conditions.
The SEC 15 sensor cable consists of a 2-core flat ribbon cable and temperature sensors connected to it with indi-
vidual addresses. The digital temperature data transmission allows a maximum sensor cable length per cable con-
nection I / II of max. 320 m at 10 m sensor distance, or 100 m at 1 m sensor distance (→ 3.2.3).
Depending on the application area, the sensor distance can be freely selected. If required, the cable can also be
branched several times (→ 3.2.1). The sensors have fixed addresses so that their physical position is precisely
defined. The position of the sensors is marked on the cable sheath with a consecutive 3 to 4-digit number. In addi-
tion, the cable number is also indicated on each sensor imprint, so that each cable and each sensor can be traced
back (→ 4.1.4).
The cable is fully screened by an aluminium foil to protect it from electromagnetic influences. Sheathing materials
are halogen free and flame-retardant.
The d-LIST sensor cable can be used in a temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C. For short term the cable and
its components can withstand temperatures of up to +120 °C. Regardless of the cable length and the number of
sensors, the measured temperatures at cable connection I / II are recorded with a resolution of 0.0625 °C and the
repeatability is ± 0.0625 K.
These values are limited by software protocol to 0.1 °C and a repeatability of ± 0.1 K, since a higher resolution is ir-
relevant for the response classes according to EN 54-22.
The SCU 835 supplies the d-LIST sensor cable with a voltage of +5 V DC, carries out a cyclical query of the con-
nected sensors, acquires the received temperatures and evaluates them according to various criteria.

Sensor cable connections
Prefabricated sensor elements can be supplied on customer request. Exact details of cable length, sensor spacing
and type of pre-assembly must be observed so that the desired article can be produced as desired. No special tools
are required for the installers to connect the sensor elements to a CBO 15 connection box or to connect them via
SECcon 15 plug connector (→ 3.2.4, 5.5).
