The VIP remote control To use the VIP remote control, insert a couple of AAA batteries after removing the USB dongle from the battery compartment. To remove the battery cover, place your thumbs just above the Backspace and Enter keys, press down, and slide the cover off. If you have already plugged the dongle in, before reading this section, remove it from the X7 Ultimate. Now press the TV button (almost bottom left) and the blue OK button at the same time, until the flashing LED changes from fast to slow. Now quickly plug the dongle into the X7 Ultimate, and the two items should be paired. If this does not work, try a different USB socket on the device. To turn on your DroidBOX device, press the Standby button. If it does not work, press the TV button once and try again. If you want to turn off the Air Mouse function (where moving the remote control around in front of you will move the onscreen cursor), press the button with a cursor and power icon on it. To re‐enable it, press the button once again. To teach the VIP remote a command, line up the top of the two remotes on a stable surface. Hold down the "TV" button on the VIP remote for a couple of seconds, until the rapidly flashing LED slows down a little. Now press (once) the button on the other remote that you want to teach the VIP remote to mimic. Next press the button the VIP remote that you want to assign the taught function to.
