- Attach both rubber straps (D) from the conveyor on each side of the flatbed. - Release the handbrake by cranking the handbrake (C) counterclockwise until the brake is released. - For sweepers equipped with air brake, the actuating valve must also be pressed in to release the brake. www.broddson.com...
- Remove the two rubber strings for the conveyor which are fastened at the sides of the tipper body. - Lower the parking support jack to a proper position by turning the knob (B). - Disconnect the towing eyelet from the towing truck. www.broddson.com...
Position (B)is for maintenance of hydraulic hoses and couplings only. At this position, the return line is bypassed and can cause major damage to the hydraulic system if it is not reset to that position (C) before starting the machine. www.broddson.com...
Anchoring of the sweeper for transport When transporting the sweeper on another vehicle the machine must be fixed on each side of the shaft, in the mounting loops mounted on the chassis. The anchoring points are marked out with enclosed symbol. www.broddson.com...
THE LOADS OF THE TRUCK Warning! The towing vehicle must withstand loads as shown below: = static pressure – vertically Service weight 4.300kg Total weight 6.600kg = 850kg www.broddson.com...
This should then be done regularly every 40 hours of operation. After the first 25 hours of operation, the following must be tightened: wheel bearing clearance wheel nuts hydraulic couplings The sweeper must be continuously checked to maintain and any consequential damage is prevented. www.broddson.com...

For service work when the remote control is not available or if, for example, an electric fault could occur the hydraulic valves are operated manually. The valves are controlled by the levers under / above the valve block. On the inside of the right side door is a decal showing the respective function. www.broddson.com...
-Porportional adjustment of the speed of the conveyor can be made by turning the button on the remote control. By increasing or decreasing the rpm of the conveyor the swept sand can be distributedmore evenly over the tipper body of the towing truck. www.broddson.com...
- The water pressure is adjusted by each valves for each ramp. IMPORTANT! When the water tanks are empty the water pump shall be closed in order not to damage the membranes of the pump. www.broddson.com...
HYDRAULIC OIL Broddson SCANDIA has been filled from the factory with 185 liters of hydraulic oil 46. The type of hydraulic oil is indicated on the inside of the control panel door and as well next to the oil filling at the hydraulic oil tank.
The oil level should be between the two markings on the level glass (C). If the oil level is too low, add filtered oil through the oil filling (B). NOTE! The oil should have a filtration rate of at least 10 microns. www.broddson.com...
If the machine is parked where there is a risk of frost, below 0 ° C, must all hoses and water nozzles as well as water filter and water pump emptied from water or frost protected ( see page 13-14) www.broddson.com...
- The aluminium rakes to the elevator be re-tightened with 10 Nm torque - The wheel nuts be re-tightened - The nuts which hold the discs for the side brushes be re-tightened - Check and if required re-tighten all other bolts and nuts around the suspension for the side brushes www.broddson.com...

Thereafter oil and oil filter shall be replaced due to supplier´s regulations. Elevator rakes: Re-tighten the nuts that hold the elevator rakes on to the rubber belts by 10 Nm torque.. 40-hour service must be done at 40-hour intervals. www.broddson.com...
- Fill new oil into the filling opening to a proper level which is between the marks on the oil stick. NOTICE! Check that the hose for the oil draining is not damaged. If necessary replace it. 100-hour service must be done at 100-hour intervals. www.broddson.com...

- Remove all of the tuft´s. (You do this by pulling the brush tuft straight out). - Insert new brush tufts in all grooves. - Then tighten the 8 bolts (D) in which the saja-ring is mounted in (with caution). www.broddson.com...
Mount then the next zig-zag brush ring opposite against the first one. e) Continue to mount the zig-zag rings opposite each other until the brush is completed. f) Finally mount a flat poly ring - Mount the completed main brush in reversed order ( as per point D,C,B,A). www.broddson.com...
It gives the same good properties as the roller brush. If the system does not work satisfactorily, the system may need to be reset. This is done in the same way as described for the roller brush, see above www.broddson.com...
To adjust the tilting angle, first loosen the lock nuts (B) on turnbuckle shaft (C). twist the turnbuckle shaft (C) to left or right, which gives the result that the tilting angle is increased or reduced. Lock the lock nuts (B) when correct angle is adjusted. www.broddson.com...
- To increase sweeping width = adjust the adjustment nut (B) counter clockwise - To decrease sweeping width = adjust the adjustment nut (B) clockwise NOTE! When sweeping, especially in curves, the sweeper leaves stripes if the sweep width is too large. If this occurs, the sweep width must be reduced. www.broddson.com...
50 mm downwards in the middle of the elevator. Tighten the nuts (A) on each side of the upper part of the elevator. Tighten nut (C) on both sides. IMPORTANT! Always tension evenly on both sides.. www.broddson.com...
- Unscrew the adjusting nuts (B) so that the distance between the outer surface of the conveyor and the edge of the rubber mat is equal on both sides. The rubber belt should not be tensioned harder than it has a small slope on the lower side. www.broddson.com...
String collector rubber (B) is adjusted by moving the links of the chain in the front and rear end. Both the string collector rubbers (C) jare adjusted by moving the links on the hooks. Adjust the rubber so it does not touch the ground, (appox. 5 mm above). www.broddson.com...
- Turn the brake disc counterclockwise according to the arrow so that the pivot wheel cannot be moved by hand laterally. - Turn the brake disc counterclockwise further so far until the nearest stop lug comes in front of the locking bolt - Lock the brake disc in this position with the locking bolt www.broddson.com...
- Lubricate all greasing nipples and Check oil leakage and worn out or damaged parts. Replace if required. - Store the street sweeper preferably indoors protected from dust, rain and snow. VARNING ! To prevent freezing (below 0 ° C) • SEE PAGE 13-14 www.broddson.com...
