    General information General information Reading and storing the user manual This user manual accompanies this aluminium telescopic ladder 3.27 m (referred to below only as the “ladder”). It contains important information about safety and use. Before using the ladder, read the user manual carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions.
  • Page 8 General information There is a risk of injury with incorrect handling. You can easily slip or fall off the ladder and injure yourself. FRONT Position the ladder with the “back” facing the wall and the “front” BACK facing the user. During deployment bear in mind the necessary inclination angle.
  • Page 9 General information Climbing sideways off the ladder is not permitted. Make sure that the floor at the installation site is not contaminated. Only set up the ladder on solid ground. Only one person is permitted on the climbable side of the ladder.

    Safety The ladder may only be used in combination with the stabiliser on the feet (support foot). Before using the ladder, all rungs which have been pulled out must be locked. Rung locked. Rung unlocked. While retracting the ladder, hands must be situated on the outside beams and must not, during any point of the retracting process, be placed on the rungs.

    Safety Safety instructions WARNING! Risk of injury! Incorrect use or incorrect handling of the ladder incurs risks that can lead to serious injury or even death. − Only use the ladder if you are in good health. Certain health circumstances, use of medication as well as alcohol and drug abuse can lead to an increased danger to your safety when using the ladder.
  • Page 12 Safety − Locking devices, if fitted, must be completely secure before use. − Do not use the ladder on a unlevel or unfirm base. − A leaning ladder should be leaned against a level, solid surface and secured before you use it, e.g. by securing the leaning ladder or by using a suitable installation to ensure structural stability.
  • Page 13 Safety − Never exceed the maximum load of the ladder. The maximum load-bearing capacity of the ladder is max. 100 kg. − Do not lean too far out from the ladder when you are standing on it. You should always stand firmly with both feet on the same step and keep the centre of your body (belly button) between the beams.
  • Page 14 Safety − Keep a secure grip on the ladder when ascending and descending. Maintain a handhold whilst working from a ladder or take additional safety precautions if you cannot. − Do not use the ladder to bridge distances or as a bridge.
  • Page 15 Safety − Do not use the ladder if one or more non-slip caps for the support foot are missing or are visibly damaged. − Set up the ladder so that it is always freely accessible. − Climb onto the ladder one rung at a time and do not skip multiple rungs.

    First use First use Checking the ladder and pack contents WARNING! Risk of injury! If you use a damaged ladder or employ the ladder incorrectly, there is a large risk of injury. − After delivery and before first use, check the condition of the ladder and that all parts are functional.

    Mounting the protective cap (wall) Mounting the protective cap (wall) − Before use assemble the two protective caps with the two supplied screws (see Fig. I). − NEVER use the ladder without the protective caps. Mounting the support foot CAUTION! Injury to persons and damage to property! The ladder can fall over during the assembly of the support foot.

    Using the ladder • Check that the locking mechanisms and locking indicators function correctly, are not missing or loose, worn down, corroded or damaged and that the rung elements lock correctly. • Check that no rubber feet are missing or loose, worn down, corroded or damaged.

    Using the ladder − Make sure that the ladder is properly secured when moving it. − Only climb onto the ladder if you have set it up using the correct leaning angle of 75° (inclination angle 1 : 4). CAUTION! Crushing hazard! When extending or retracting the ladder, you can crush or pinch your fingers if you proceed without caution.

    Cleaning and maintenance With the aid of the locking device, each section is automatically locked as soon as the corresponding rung  has extended to its maximum. 4. Make sure that each and every ladder section is locked before you climb onto the ladder (see chapter “Locking device”).

    Transport and storage − Keep the ladder clean. Remove contaminates, such as, e.g. dirt, paint residues etc., after each use and before retracting the ladder. − Always wipe the rungs off. − Leave repair and maintenance work to be carried out exclusively by experts.
