Thank you for purchasing this UniCarScan UCSI-2000 OBD-2 adapter, which allows you to read vehicle data with the aid of an external display
device (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.).
This manual is intended to familiarize you with the functionality of the UniCarScan adapter. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

Search for "OBD" or "ELM327" in the Google Play Store. There is a huge amount of apps and most will work with the adapter.
Please note, though, that some apps only work with certain adapters. Please read the specifications of the app manufacturer or contact him if
you have questions about his app.

Getting started

Download an app from the Google Play Store or install the Windows software on the laptop. Insert the OBD-2 adapter into the corresponding
OBD interface of a vehicle.
Refer to the operating instructions for the vehicle for the position of the OBD diagnostic socket. Please also observe the notes in the
accompanying brief guide. Switch on the ignition and the engine if necessary.
The adapter is in the pairing mode and is recognized by your smartphone or laptop as "UniCarScan". Enter "1234" as the password. How to
connect a Bluetooth device to an external device can be found in the operating instructions of the device.
Make a Bluetooth connection between the adapter and your Android device or Windows laptop. Follow the instructions of the software or app
you are using to evaluate your vehicle data.

Safety notes

Improper use of the appliance may result in fire or other property damage. If the unit detects smoke, burns smell, or generates
unusual noise, immediately disconnect it from the OBD socket and do not take it again.

Switch the ignition off when you connect or disconnect the device to the OBD connector.
•
Never open the product by yourself. Never perform repairs yourself!
•
Handle the product carefully. It can be damaged by impacts, impacts or fall from already low height.
•
Keep the adapter away from moisture and extreme heat.
•
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
•
Observe StVO in the country where the device is used. It is not always permissible to use the diagnostic device during the journey.
