WARNING: Ensure the device is
disconnected from the mains power
supply before attempting any maintenance.
Keep the outer case of the planer clean and
free from grease. Do not wash with water or use
solvents or abrasive. Use only mild soap and
damp cloth to clean the planer. Never let any
liquid get inside the planer. Never immerse any
part of the planer into a liquid.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by a qualified electrician or service agent.
1. Blade fitting and changing (See Fig. L1-L8)
WARNING:

gloves when replacing blades.
The blade (20) has two cutting edges, which can
be reversed. When both cutting edges are dull,
the blade (20) must be replaced.
NOTE:
• Dull and worn blades (20) cannot be reground
and must be replaced.
• The planer blades (20) cannot be re-sharpened.
Do not attempt to sharpen or use re-sharpened
blades (20) of any kind.
• Use only blades (20) designated for use with
this model, as other blades (20) may cause
vibration, decrease performance and may not
clamp securely in the blade holder (18).
