To fix the remote connection issue with the Denon AVR-X2500H, try the following steps:
1. Check Remote Lock Mode – The receiver may be in "PANEL / REMOTE LOCK Selection Mode." If locked, try unlocking it by checking the manual for the correct button combination.
2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi – Since the Android app worked before the factory reset, try reconnecting the AVR to your Wi-Fi network using an Ethernet cable or setup via the front panel.
3. Use Network Initialization Mode – If Wi-Fi setup fails, you can try "Network Initialization Mode" from the service menu to reset network settings.
4. Perform a Full Reset – If the issue persists, do another factory reset and ensure the setup is completed correctly.
5. Check for Firmware Issues – If an update was interrupted, the device might be stuck in an error loop. Try restarting the update or contacting Denon support.
6. Test Different Remotes – Since multiple remotes are not working, there may be an issue with the IR sensor or remote settings. Verify if the sensor is blocked or malfunctioning.
7. Consider Repair – If nothing works and the device is out of warranty, professional repair might be needed.
These steps should help restore remote functionality to your Denon AVR-X2500H.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS The following items should be checked for continued protection of the customer and the service technician. Leakage current check Before returning the set to the customer, be sure to carry out either (1) a leakage current check or (2) a line to chassis resistance check. If the leakage current exceeds 0.5 milliamps, or if the resistance from chas- sis to either side of the power cord is less than 460 kohms, the set is defective.
NOTE FOR SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM WARNING: Parts indicated by the z mark have critical characteristics. Use ONLY replacement parts recommended by the manufacturer. CAUTION: Before returning the set to the customer, be sure to carry out either (1) a leakage current check or (2) a line to chassis resistance check.

Need help?
Do you have a question about the AVR-X2500H and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
Remote won’t connect to tuner AVRX2500H
