BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Read these instructions completely and carefully.
Light source type
CMH 20W/35W G8.5 lamps. For lamp designation,
see control gear.
For best performance use GE ConstantColor
source.

Unit Installation
• Prior to installation, isolate the mains supply.
• Carefully unpack unit from its packaging.
• Cut appropriate diameter circular hole at desired location
for luminaire. (Diagram A)
• Remove reflector from luminaire and place in secure
location, taking care not to damage reflector surface.
• Electrical termination to be carried out by qualified
electrician in accordance with latest edition of IEC 60364.
Diagram C: 3- core 230V AC mains cable supplied.
1: Line-Brown 2: Earth-Yellow/Green 3: Neutral-Blue
• Offer luminaire up into desired location, ensuring there is
the required minimum air space around the control gear
housing. (Diagram B)
• Lock the luminaire into place by means of the two
adjustable fixing springs as detailed in Diagram E.
Hold luminaire in position, and press downward at point
indicated, until luminaire is fully secured. Check the
mechanical stability of the luminaire. Confirm with ceiling
manufacturer that ceiling tile can support luminaire weight.
• Carefully relocate reflector into luminaire. (If reflector is
vacuum metalised, use gloves.)
War n i n g
• The luminaire shall only be used complete with its
protective shield. Do not operate without the safety glass.
• Only to be installed outside arms reach.
• The luminaire is not suitable for covering with thermally
insulating material.
• For indoor use only.
• All install and uninstall shall be done by a certified
electrician.
• If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is
damaged, it shall be replaced by the manufacturer or his
service agent or similar qualified person in order to avoid a
CMH light

hazard.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
• Do not operate luminaire with damaged parts.
• Turn power off before inspection, installation or removal.
• Properly ground electrical enclosure.
RISK OF FIRE
• Follow all local codes.
• Use only appropriate IEC approved wire for connections,
minimum size: 3x1 mm
