WARNING: Never use the tool below or
above the rated operating pressure.
6. Connect the air hose to the fi tting on the tool.
7. Check for audible leaks around valves and
gaskets.
8. Set the air pressure to the minimum required
operating pressure for your application.
WARNING: Never use a tool that leaks
or has damaged parts.
Cold weather operation
When operating tools at temperatures below
freezing:
1. Keep the tool as warm as possible before use.
2. Disconnect the airline from the tool.
3. Put 10 to 15 drops of D
E
oil (or winter-weight pneumatic oil containing
ethylene glycol) into the air inlet.
4. Set the air pressure to a maximum of 5.5 bar.
5. Connect the air hose to the fi tting on the tool.
6. Actuate the tool 5 or 6 times into scrap lumber
to lubricate the o-rings.
7. Increase the air pressure to the normal
operating level.
8. Use the tool in the normal manner.
Hot weather operation
The tool should operate normally. Avoid the heat
of direct sunlight to avoid damage to the bumpers,
o-rings, and other rubber parts.
Actuating the tool (fi g. A & C)
1. Hold the tool in the palm of your hand, as
described under Proper Hand Position.
2. Insert the head of the nail into the nail guide
(2).
3. Position the nail on the work surface, keeping
the tool in the line of the driving direction.
4. To actuate the tool, push the tool against the
nail. The tool will drive the nail into the work
surface until the contact trip (1) is fully
depressed.

● Clean the nosepiece using compressed air.
● Clean the front end of the contact trip using
pneumatic tool oil.
WARNING: Before cleaning, disconnect
the tool from the air supply. Wear
safety glasses and hand gloves during
cleaning.
● Drain all condensation from the air compressor
tanks and hoses.
● Insert 5 - 7 drops pneumatic tool oil into the air
fi tting on the end cap of the tool.
● Ensure that all fasteners on the tool are tight
and undamaged.
● Tighten loose fasteners using the appropriate
tool.
