I want to power this router from a UPS. Do I have to go into the C-port at 15V, or can I use the POE (ethernet ports) ?

The SAGEMCOM FAST 5688W router requires a 15V connection to the USB Type-C port and cannot be powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) through the Ethernet ports.

I just want to leave a comment and don't see anywhere else to leave it. Thank you so much for having this information here. T-moble's site did not have instructions to hard reset this model and I was so frustrated becausenothing else would work. I was finally able to get the internet reconnected and able to sleep knowing my son's medical devices were connected properly and would not drop every few minutes.

To reset the Wi-Fi password on a SAGEMCOM FAST 5688W, follow these steps:

1. Access the gateway settings by using a script and entering the admin password from the sticker on the device (not the Wi-Fi password).
2. If you changed the admin password, use the updated one.
3. Once logged in, you will see a menu with several options.
4. Navigate through the menu to find the option to change or disable Wi-Fi settings.
5. Make the desired changes, including updating the Wi-Fi password.

If you cannot access the settings due to a forgotten admin password, perform a hard reset:

1. Make sure the device has power.
2. Press and hold the reset button on the gateway until the device resets.
3. After reset, use the default admin credentials on the device sticker to log in and update the Wi-Fi password.
