ASIO Window (Windows only)
For selecting the ASIO driver settings.
4 Buffer Size
Lets you select the buffer size for the ASIO
driver. The range varies depending on the
specified sample rate. The lower the value
of the ASIO buffer size, the lower the value
of audio latency.

5 DMA Buffer Size
Lets you select the buffer size for the
AXR4T. The lower the value of the DMA
buffer size, the lower the value of audio
latency. This value is changed
automatically when you change "4 Buffer
Size".
6 Input Latency / Output Latency
Indicates the latency (delay time) for the
audio input and output in millisecond units.
7 Enable MMCSS
When this check box is checked, ASIO
performance may be improved because
CPU resources are preferentially assigned
to ASIO driver processing. Conversely, the
performance may be deteriorate
depending on your computer environment.

Indicates the version and copyright
information of the audio driver.

How to Select the Buffer Size (Mac)
You can select the buffer size in the settings
window for each application (DAW software,
etc.).
From the Cubase series menu, select [Studio]
 [Studio Setup], then click [Control Panel] in
[Yamaha Steinberg Thunderbolt] or [Yamaha
Steinberg Thunderbolt (High Precision)] in the
menu on the left side of the window.
The method for opening the settings window is different
for each application.
Using with 32-bit Integer processing
(Mac)
[Yamaha Steinberg Thunderbolt] or [Yamaha
Steinberg Thunderbolt (High Precision)] is
shown in the [ASIO Driver] setting on the
Cubase series program. Select [Yamaha
Steinberg Thunderbolt (High Precision)] when
processing at 32-bit integer resolutions
between Cubase and the driver.
Steinberg AXR4 2TR (Mac)
Select this audio driver when playing OS
audio, iTunes audio and other non-DAW
application audio. You can also record the
audio signals of the channel on which
LOOPBACK is set to ON by using this audio
driver
(page
42). One stereo line is available
for playback and recording channels.
