Damcos KC Actuators: Adjustment of the DPI
February 2020

Adjustment of the DPI

Before carrying out the adjustment procedure, make a test of the DPI-E (page 15) or DPI-C (page 17).
If the test is successful there should be no need to carry out the adjustment procedure described in
the following.
The adjustment and tests described can be made on the actuator when mounted on the valve bon-
net/stem as well as dismounted.
Adjustment of the DPI
1.
Connect a hydraulic hand
pump (if not connected
already) by dismounting
the caps (d) from the two
hydraulic connection fit-
tings and connect the
pump hoses to fittings A
and B.
2.
Make sure the visual indi-
cator (c) is closed.
3.
Operate the hand pump
and observe that the spin-
dle (c) moves in (1 = actu-
ator is open) and out (2 =
actuator is closed).
4.
Leave the actuator in
position 2 = closed (the
spindle is in max. 'out'
position).
5.
Set the multimeter to sound signals (for DPI-E On/Off) or Ω signals (for DPI-C [Continued]).
6.
When checking open,
closed or continuous sig-
nal, connect the multime-
ter as shown in picture.
