9. TROUBLESHOOTING
9.1. KNOWN ISSUES
Hardware
• Web camera connected to the PC via USB 2.0 or USB 3.2 port could malfunction the sys-
tem.
• Do not use USB 2.0 or USB 3.2 portable dongles for mobile Internet.
9.2. ERRORS AND CAUSES
Error description
The scanner doesn't turn

on by using the front
On\Off switch

The scanner is On but
nothing is visible on the
monitor

The scanner is On but
warm up sequence gets
stucks
or
The scanner is On but no
warm up sequence

The B9 Scan application
doesn't run, and an error
Possible causes
• Main connecting cable discon-
nected
• Rear AC On\Off switch off
• Fuses blow
• DVI-I cable non properly con-
nected to the DVI-I port in the
scanner
• DVI-I cable not working
• A DVI-I to VGA adapter is present
in the DVI-I port
• Projector failure
• The PenDrive is not connected
Remedy
• Connect the main cable
• Turn On the rear AC switch
• Replace the fuses
• If none of the above solves the
problem, contact E.G.S. srl cus-
tomer service
• Use the right DVI-I port in the
scanner
• Change the cable or use the
ones provided in accessory box
• Remove the adapter and use
the cable provided in accessory
box
• If none of the above solves the
problem, unplug the scanner
and contact the E.G.S. srl cus-
tomer service
• Contact E.G.S. srl customer ser-
vice
• Connect the PenDrive in a scan-
ner USB 3.0 port
