●For simple measuring of soil acidity, soil temperature, moisture, salinity,
and illuminance in the growing environment
■Features

*Soil acidity displayed is the result of a chemical reaction between the measuring part and
the soil s pH element, which is converted to a pH value.

●Do not use other than as intended
●When measuring, sprinkle water on the soil and make sure that the soil is
sufficiently moist so that it can adhere well to the measuring part
●This product is for soil only. Do not insert into water or any other liquid, as this
may cause malfunction.
●Cannot be used with dry soil or soil containing significant humus, peat moss,
kanuma soil, akadama soil, or sand that does not adhere to the measuring part
●Cannot measure accurately in small pots or other narrow environments
●Cannot measure alkalinity
●Measurements of illuminance, soil moisture, and salinity are simplified. Please
use them as a guide.
●When measuring soil acidity, soil temperature, soil moisture, and salinity,
remove the cap from the measuring part
●After spreading lime, etc. to adjust acidity, allow 1-2 weeks for it to mix into the
soil before taking measurements. Otherwise, the soil may tend to be strongly
acidic.
●When storing the device, clean the measuring part and replace the cap to
protect it from oxidation
●Soil moisture is displayed by passing an electric current through the soil making
contact with the measuring part, and quantifying it by its resistance value. The
value shown may be lower than the actual value depending on the degree of
adhesion to the soil.
●Do not allow the probe to remain inserted as this could cause it to corrode
●Do not bend the probe
●Do not loosen the clod of soil with the probe
●Do not allow the probe to come in contact with metal. When storing, make
sure that it does not make contact with other metals.
●Before use, polish the measuring part (about 10 cm from the tip of the probe)
with fine sandpaper (# 400-1000) to remove oxide
●Do not touch the measuring part with bare hands
●Do not drop or subject to strong impact
●Do not disassemble the device other than as directed in this manual
●This product is not waterproof. Do not wash with water or use in the rain.
●Do not use or store the product in an environment above 40° C
●Use a clean, soft cloth when wiping the product
●Remove the batteries when the device will not be used for a long period. It may
break due to liquid leakage.

①PH (soil acidity) display
Turns on when measuring soil acidity.
②Soil temperature display
Turns on when measuring soil temperature.
③PH, soil temperature measurement value display
Displays the measurement results.
* Lo is displayed when exceeding the display rangeʼs
lower limit. HH is displayed when exceeding the
display rangeʼs upper limit.
④Low battery alarm
The battery icon will be displayed when the amount remaining is 3.65V.
