® The xFUME ADVANCED fume extraction system is used for extracting fumes generated during welding, cutting and grinding processes. The device may be operated only with original ABICOR BINZEL spare ® parts. These operating instructions describe only the xFUME ADVANCED fume extraction system.

® 7 Operation xFUME ADVANCED 7.2 Automatic mode The device is operated in automatic mode (activated automatic starting function) as follows: Fig. 3 Control elements/ports on page EN-10 If the welding process is interrupted, automated cleaning of the filter membranes occurs after a run-on time of 20 seconds.
® xFUME ADVANCED 8 Decommissioning 8 Decommissioning Turn the <On/Off> switch to <Off>. The filter membranes are cleaned once. Disconnect the current clamp. Disconnect the device from the power supply. 9 Maintenance and cleaning Scheduled maintenance and cleaning are prerequisites for a long service life and trouble-free operation. We recommend you clean the device in two steps.

® 9 Maintenance and cleaning xFUME ADVANCED 9.3 Replacing filter cartridges NOTICE Damage to the rotary nozzle Damage to the rotary nozzle due to improper removal and replacement of filter cartridges. ► Unscrew the filter cartridges without tilting and remove the filter cartridges concentrically from the housing, avoiding contact with the rotary nozzle.
® xFUME ADVANCED 9 Maintenance and cleaning Screw in the filter cartridges. Ensure that the filter cartridges are not tilted. Position the top panel in place and secure with clamps on both sides. 9.4 Replacing the carbon brushes WARNING Electric shock due to electronic component damage When replacing carbon brushes and turbines, electrical connections must be disconnected and reconnected.

® 9 Maintenance and cleaning xFUME ADVANCED Remove the carbon brush covers (2×). Remove the connecting cable lug from the carbon brushes (4×). Remove the carbon brushes. Dispose of the carbon brushes in accordance with local regulations. 12 Disposal on page EN-26 Insert the new carbon brushes and mount again in reverse order.
® xFUME ADVANCED 9 Maintenance and cleaning 9.5 Replacing the turbines WARNING Electric shock due to electronic component damage When replacing carbon brushes and turbines, electrical connections must be disconnected and reconnected. Fatal electric shock may occur if electronic components become damaged or improperly uninstalled in the process.
