AIR CONDITIONING DUCTS – REPLACEMENT
WARNING
Any personnel working on an electric vehicle must have an electric vehicle-specific training and
authorization to work on these vehicles. Please observe the regulations applicable in the respective
country.
Essential: Follow the safety instructions before working on the air conditioning circuit (see Page 117).
1. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift (see Page 58).

Essential: Deactivate the vehicle HV-System (see Page 26).

Drain the electric air conditioning circuit; Using an air conditioning filling and recycling station.

Drain the electric drive train cooling circuit (see Page 99).

Remove the front underbody protection plate (see Page 56).

Remove the front bumper (see Page 61).
2. Additional tools

Set of plugs [1701-HZ]
3. Replacement parts

O-rings for the air conditioning ducts.
4. Remove / Disassemble
Caution: Plug all of the ducts quickly to prevent the entry of moisture ; Using the [1701-HZ] tool.

Unclip the air conditioning ducts

Remove the nuts [2].

Uncouple:
o The high pressure air conditioning pipe
(Electric air conditioning compressor / Water
condenser)
o The low pressure air conditioning duct
(Electric air conditioning compressor / Air
conditioning duct)

Disconnect the connectors

Remove:
o The nuts
o The nut
o The low pressure air conditioning duct
(Electric air conditioning compressor / Air
conditioning duct).
