Troubleshooting faults and errors

Pedelec Problem
Pedelec sluggish
Pedelec will not switch on.
Display is not on
Noise when braking
"Creaking noises" when putting load on
the pedals
Rubbing noises when riding
Motor does not switch on
when pedaling.
Front light does not light up.
Rear light does not light up.
Ampler – Curt
Cause
y Tire pressure too low.
y Brakes rubbing.
y Battery fully discharged.
y Display shows lock,
button lock is on.
y Power button does not respond to
button presses.
y Power button not working,
damaged or faulty.
y Bike is in shutdown mode.
y Display not working,
damaged or faulty.
y Display shows an error message.
y Dirt, oil on the brake pads.
y Loose pedals.
y fenders and/or stays rub against
the tire.
y Pedelec is not switched on.
y Bike is in 0% assist mode.
y Motor cable not connected.
y Motor cable damaged or faulty.
y Cable to the light defective
y Lamp defective.
y Rear light is faulty or is defective.
Solution
J Inflate tires.
J Adjust the brakes.

J Charge the battery.
J Connect to Ampler Bike App and
unlock bike.
J Contact Ampler Customer Service.
J Contact Ampler Customer Service.
J Plug the charging plug into
the charging socket.
J Press the power button.
J Contact Ampler Customer Service.
J Contact Ampler Customer Service.
J Check and clean brake pads.
J Replace if necessary and perform
bed-in procedure.
J Tighten the pedals with
the correct tools.
J Where applicable, unscrew
the pedals, apply a little grease,
screw them back in.
J Check the position of the fenders
and adjust if necessary.
J Switch on the Pedelec.
J Change mode into standard or max.
J Check whether the motor cable
is connected. Connect the motor
cable tightly.
J Contact Ampler Customer Service.
J Check the light cable.
