To receive texts on the Orbic Journey V, notifications for new messages appear on the Status Bar. You may hear a sound, see a light, or feel the phone vibrate based on your settings. To view the text:

my phone stopped deleting messages. sometimes it will delete 1 or 2 then none. I have about 40 messages on it. when i hit the button to delete them the screen will flash 2 or 3 and not delete them.
