- Jack lines can be fastened either to the mooring cleats, or to pad eyes on deck. The Beneteau 40 is fitted with a foldaway swimming ladder. The swim ladder should be in its folded/upright position as soon as you are on board. -

ENGINE Operating advice Do not install in this boat an engine of superior power or weight than what is recommended, because this could hinder stability. Stop the engine and do not smoke when refuelling. VII) STEERING SYSTEM At least once per year check the tension of the cables; in case of doubt, consult your dealer. Boats equipped with a steering wheel are provided with an emergency tiller, make sure that it is accessible at all times. Remove the deck plate, fit the tiller into the socket on the top of the rudder stock for operation. -

FRESH WATER AND BLACK WATER TANKS The fresh water system supplies the sink in the galley, the wash basin and shower in all of the heads, and the transom shower. This system is pressurized by an electric pump.
