(3) Rem ove the carbon brushes from the brush holders.
Assembly
(1) Insert the new carbon brushes into the brush holders.
(2) Insert the brush holders together w ith the carbon
brushes into the brush holder cham bers in the
housing.
(3) Ensure that the lead wire and other parts are properly
positioned, and that there is no possibility of the
lead w ire com ing in contact w ith the arm ature or
other m oving parts.
(4) Reinstall the handle cover w hile ensuring that the
internal w iring does not becom e pinched betw een
the handle cover and the housing, and secure the
handle cover w ith the three screw s.
CAUTIONS
Be sure to follow the above assem bly procedures
exactly. Should the internal w iring contact the
arm ature or becom e pinched betw een the handle
cover and housing, a serious risk of electric shock
to the operator w ould be created.
Do not tam per w ith parts other than those necessary
to effect carbon brush replacem ent.

IM PORTANT
Correct connection of the plug
The w ires of the m ains lead are coloured in accordance
w ith the follow ing code:
Blue:- Neutral
Brow n:- Live
As the colours of the w ires in the m ains lead of this tool
m ay not correspond w ith the coloured m arkings
identifying the term inals in your plug proceed as follow s:
The w ire coloured blue m ust be connected to the term inal
m arked w ith the letter N or coloured black. The w ire
coloured brow n m ust be connected to the term inal m arked
w ith the letter L or coloured red. Neither core m ust be
connected to the earth term inal.
NOTE
This requirem ent is provided according to BRITISH
STANDARD 2769 1984.
Therefore, the letter code and colour code m ay not be
applicable to other m arkets except United Kingdom .
Information concerning airborne noise and vibration
The m easured values w ere determ ined according to
EN50144.
The typical A-w eighted sound pressure level: 85 dB (A).
Wear ear protection.
The typical w eighted root m ean square acceleration value
does not exceed 2.5 m /s
