Install the M-300 and M-700 Appliance holes, and then release the buons to secure the rails to the rack. The following image shows the right side of the rack if you are facing the front of the rack. To remove the outer rails from the rack, you must pull the release clips located at the front and back end of each rail assembly to release the rails from the rack.

Replace an M-300 or M-700 Appliance Log Drive The M-300 and M-700 appliance log drives are located on the front of the appliance. Each drive pair (A1 and A2 for example) is in an independent RAID 1 array. This redundant configuraon helps ensure that there is no service interrupon or loss of log data if a disk drive fails.
