INSTALLATION Steering Column Assembly When you receive your knee walker, the steering column will be in the folded position. 1. Raising the Steering Column a. Pull up the quick release clamp lever at the base of the steering column to release the clamp, then push the lever forward to disengage.

Knee Pad Assembly and Height Adjustment 1. Release the quick release clamp. 2. Remove the pin on the knee pad assemble bar. 3. Insert the knee pad column into the column on the frame, then adjust the knee pad column to the proper height. 4.
Brake Adjustment During assembly or routine maintenance, it is important to check the tightness of the braking mechanism. The pressure of the braking mechanism on the brake wheel should be enough so that the brake wheel does not turn and is not overly tight when the hand brake is fully squeezed.
Hand Brake Adjustment The position of the hand brakes may be adjusted to suit the user’s preference. • Use a 3/16 Allen wrench to loosen the hand brakes. • Reposition each hand brake to a comfortable use position, then retighten with the Allen wrench to set each in place. Basket Attachment 1. To install the basket, locate the two upper holes on the back of the basket. 2. Insert these two holes over the front anchor tabs on the steering column, then press down until the basket is securely fitted into the front anchor tabs.
SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS 1. When adjusting the height of the handlebars, make sure the star screw (knob) locks tightly for a secure hold. 2. Be sure to hold onto the handlebar grips using two hands. 3. To slow down or stop the knee walker, squeeze the two hand brakes to engage the back-wheel brakes.
