Adding Software
The best way to install a new program is to use the
Add/Remove Programs utility.
To install new programs by running Add/Remove
Programs:

Insert the CD or diskette in the appropriate drive.

Click Start on the taskbar.

Select Settings.

Click Control Panel.

Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

Click Install.
7
Follow the on-screen directions.
Once a new program is installed, it appears in the
Programs section of the Start menu.
Deleting Software
There are a number of ways to remove programs
from your hard disk. Some programs come with their
own uninstall utility, which you use to remove the
program. You can also buy uninstall utilities that
remove any program from your hard disk. Or you
can use the Add/Remove Programs utility, located in
the Control Panel.
To use the Add/Remove Programs utility:

Click Start on the taskbar.

Select Settings.

Click Control Panel.

Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

Click the program you want to remove.

Click Add/Remove.

Click OK.
