    K5/K5N Vacuum Packaging Machine Introduction Introduction General information § This product manual must be read, understood and complied with fully by the operators who are responsible for the vacuum packaging machine. § All the technical documentation must be kept beside the vacuum packaging machine (called the machine below) at all times.

    K5/K5N Vacuum Packaging Machine Introduction Definitions The following terms are used in this Operating Manual to describe the people who work with or on the machine: Owner The owner is the firm which has entered into a contract with the manufacturer or its agent. The owner is legally entitled to sign contracts.

    Machine without an inert gas system (K5 type) The K5 machine is used for the products described above. It is not suitable for products which are sensitive to pressure as they would be damaged by the vacuum and the tightly applied packaging plastic.

The machine manufacturer recommends you to transport it in the type of packaging which is used to transport it from the factory.

    8 Start-up Initial start-up IMPORTAN T The initial start-up may only be performed by VC999 Customer Service representatives! IMPORTANT If the phase sequence is incorrect, the vacuum pump motor cuts out automatically. The error message E-03 appears on the LED display.

    K5/K5N Vacuum Packaging Machine Operation 9.4.4 Starting the packaging cycle IMPORTANT The packaging cycle starts automatically when the lid of the vacuum chamber is closed! Select the packaging program which you require before closing the lid! § After inserting the vacuum bags, use the arrow button on the right to select a packaging program between P-01 and P-20.

    K5/K5N Vacuum Packaging Machine Operation Programming 9.5.1 Packaging programs 20 programs can be created in the controller. These programs are all identical in structure and are shown in the basic setting with their program number in LED display 2. We would advise you to take note of the programs on paper first of all and then to enter them. This will enable you to have better control of everything and will ensure that programs do not go missing, even if a fault occurs or if the controller is incorrectly operated.

    This type of vacuuming is used in certain exceptional cases (if the vacuum measurement is flawed). Vacuuming takes place during the set time instead of the vacuum measurement.     K5/K5N Vacuum Packaging Machine Operation 9.5.2.7 Cutting During cutting, the cutting wire is heated on the welding bar. The cutting time must be calculated on the basis of the bag material and the thickness of the material. It can be set to a time between 0 and 5 seconds.
