PREPARING COFFEE
•
Unplug the unit from the mains supply.
•
Fill the water tank with fresh cold water to the level

You can use the jug which has a scale on the side for filling
if you wish.

Open the lid.
•
Remove the filter and spoon in the required amount of
coffee grains - typically 6-7g. per cup, or to taste.
NOTE: One spoon is about 4g of coffee.
Do not fill above the level of the gauze in the filter.
•
Place the filter holder in the unit and insert the filter into
the filter holder.
•
Place the jug on the hot plate.
Ensure that the hole in the lid of the jug engages with the
spring valve in the machine (arrowed) or the coffee may not
flow properly.
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERFILL.
•
Close the lid.
•
Plug the unit in and switch on at the mains.
•
Press the ON/OFF button.
The button will light up and the water will begin to heat.
Once the water has heated, the coffee will begin to filter
through into the jug.
When all the coffee has run into the jug
•
Wait for one minute after all the coffee has finished
running into the jug.
•
Remove the jug and pour out the coffee.
•
After use switch the machine off and unplug from the
mains supply.
NOTE: At any time during the brewing cycle you can temporarily
remove the jug to serve a cup of hot coffee. The brewing
cycle will not be interrupted and no coffee will drip from the

in the machine within 30 sec.
WARNING: NEVER replace an empty jug on the hot plate while
it is hot or it may crack.
NOTE: When the brewing cycle is over the machine will
switch to a "keep warm state". The hot plate will stay on for
40 minutes to keep the coffee warm, after which time the
Ma x
unit will switch off automatically.
