Chapter 3 Setting
3.1

Switch Setting

This section describes the switch settings on the front panel of the IS911
module.
3.1.1

TC-net I/O bus address switch (I/O)

The TC-net I/O bus address switches are hexadecimal rotary switches that
determine the address on the TC-net I/O bus. It can be set in the range of 0 to F.
3.1.2

Operation mode setting switch (MODE)

The first to third switches of the operation mode setting switch are reserved for
the system. It cannot be used by the user.
The fourth switch is used when replacing modules. How to use is described in
"Chapter 2 - 2.3 Replacing IS911 Module".

Important
 Set the switches of the IS911 module before turning the power on.
Note
 Be careful so that the own address does not overlap with other I/O module.

Remark
 This switch is a 4-bit DIP switch. When set to the left (ON display side), it is set to on,
and when set to the right, it is set to off.
Important
 Never use the 1st and 2nd switches. If used carelessly, transmission will stop.
 The third switch is valid only for SYSMAC. It is invalid in MELSEC. In case of
"ON", when the operation mode of SYSMAC is "RUN mode" (write disabled), it
automatically changes to "MONITOR mode" (write enabled). In case of "OFF",
this function is disabled.
 Use the fourth switch as described in "Chapter 2 - 2.3 Replacing the IS911
Module". Do not use anything else. If used carelessly, transmission will stop.
