DTC P0563 System Voltage High (Scan Diagnostics)

1
1. Select the Dashboard icon in the left sidebar to view
the Dealer tab.
2. Observe the Ignition Voltage display with or without the engine
running.

3. Is reading 9.0-15.0 volts DC?

Is reading above 15.0 volts DC?

DTC P0563 System Voltage High (Non-Scan Diagnostics)

Step
1
1. Connect red meter test lead on DVOM to battery positive (+) post.
2. Connect black meter test lead on DVOM to battery negative (-) post.
3. Set DVOM to read volts DC.
4. Start and run engine at full speed (3600 RPM).
5. Observe voltage on DVOM.
6. Is reading 12.2-14.5 volts DC?

Go to DTC P0563 Non-Scan Diagnostics.

System voltage OK.
No
Go to step 2.

Reading is above
15 volts. Check
charging system.
