It is very important that the spindle motor (witch rotates the disc), and the sled motor (which cases the disc signals to be tracked), as well as the gear and other components, operate smoothly, without eccentricity.

Replacement and lubrication of the pickup Before replacement of the pickup, be sure to carefully read the section regarding the pickup when the unit is moved or transported. Remove a pickup rail (CM2) with a driver from the bottom of chassis.

Be sure both channel’s waveform are the same for the phase matching. Be sure both channels (1 and 2) are the same level using a dual-channel oscilloscope. After completion of the adjustment, apply the threadlock (TB-1401 B) to the azimuth adjustment screws to fix them securely.
