3.3.2. [0xA2] Change reader password
This command is used for the setting of an individual password for the login (see:
Reader-Login). In order to change the password, the old one which is stored by the reader has to be
known.

Notes:
• The actual reader password cannot be read back from the reader. After changing a
password, it should be stored at a secured place.
• The factory adjustment of the password is "00 00 00 00".
3.3.3. [0xA0] Reader-Login
The "Reader Login" has to be executed after each reset of the reader, in case an access to the data of
the transponder or to the configuration parameters is requested and the reader input is locked (see:
3.3.1. [0xA1] Locking of reader

• a logout may be effected by a reader login using a wrong reader password.
• a logout may be effected by the protocol
• the automatic reset after storing a configuration parameter does not effect a logout.
